Insulation Pads FAQ’s
Insulation pads are super easy to install, as they are cut the size of a ceiling tile. You would simply remove a ceiling tile, place the bag on top of the tile, and refit the tile in place.
This would all depend on the results you were trying to achieve. For example, an office that is relatively well climatised and just wanted to retain more heat, we would suggest our standard 100mm thick insulation pad. But for a room that is connected to open spaces such as a warehouse, and struggles to contain heat, we would put forward our thicker 300mm pad to ensure the best results and efficiency.
Our insulation pad data sheets provide you with the R value of each pad. To calculate the U value, you simply do 1 ÷ R Value = U Value.
Our standard size insulation pads are 600mm x 600mm and 1200mm x 600mm.
You certainly can, as long as the overall dimensions are equal to or less than 1200mm x 600mm.
The insulation used to make these pads is A1 non-combustible, which meets UK regulations. We provide flame retardant bags which help reducing spread of flame within the ceiling void.
The pads are compressed in large black sacks for delivery and will either arrive in these bags alone, or in the bags on a pallet depending on the quantity ordered. Please ensure that pads are not left compressed for long after delivery and shake each pad before installing to allow them to reflate.
